Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKORNELIA RITSEMA On December 12, 2005, at Park Manor Personal Care Home, Kornelia Ritsema, aged 88 years, beloved wife of Roelof Ritsema, passed away. Kornelia will also be lovingly remembered by her daughter Grace Evans (Murray) of Winnipeg; four sons, John (Elaine) of Edmonton, Ron of Winnipeg, Ed (Brenda) of Oakbank and Ray (Donna) of Winnipeg; 12 grandchildren, Karin, Tim, Noreen, Roger, Jeremy, Robert, Garret, Bryan, Jason, Michelle, Sheridan and Andrew; and one sister Gre Hummelen-Boonstra. She was predeceased by sisters, Barbetje Meima-Boonstra and Jouk Guttinger-Boonstra; and brother Eeuwe Boonstra. Kornelia immigrated to Canada with her husband and three children in 1952. She was a founding member of the Transcona Christian Reformed Church. Kornelia was an active member of the church and helped establish the Ladies Aid Society, now called the Grace Society. She worked for a few years at Transcona Bakery, otherwise she stayed at home to raise her five children. Kornelia was an outgoing person and enjoyed her many friendships, especially her weekly bowling sessions with friends for 25 years. She loved her family very much and was proud of her children and grandchildren. Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 17 at The Transcona Christian Reformed Church, 131 Victoria Ave. W., with Pastor Richard Zekveld officiating. Viewing will take place one half hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Green Acres Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Calvin Christian School, 245 Sutton Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2G 0T1, or to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10 - 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2.
