WILLIAM APPLER It is with our deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of William (Billy) Appler on December 11, 2005, at the Health Science Centre at the age of 82 years. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 54 years Della; mother Lena; and brother-in-law William (Hunchie) Polson. He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his son Alan (Gloria); grandchildren, Jeff and Kristin, Tim (Alana) and Bryson; brother Harry and sister-in-law Wally; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dan Polson, Emily Funk, Jenny Brown, Peter (Charlene) Polson, Olga (Donny) Fedoruk, Jerry (Louise) Polson, John (Cathy) Polson; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was employed with CPR for 33 years, retiring in 1984. Billy lost the love of his life Della, who passed away August 14, 2005, which left him heartbroken. His grandchildren meant the world to him and he was so proud of them. He was his happiest when they were around him. Watching sports with his son Alan and his trips to the casino were pastimes he really enjoyed. Another enjoyment of his were his daily trips to the Sal's on McPhillips where the staff looked after him well, always making sure his soup was hot and his toast dark. We would like to thank all the staff at the Seven Oaks Dialysis unit for the excellent care given to our dad over the years, the nursing staff of unit seven third floor and our sincere thanks to Cathy Franceschette and Dr. Lerner, and finally to the wonderful staff at the MICU at the Health Science Centre who made Dad's last days as comfortable as possible. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 16 at 11:00 a.m at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Interment to follow at Glen Eden. Pallbearers will be Paul Brown, Robbie Fedoruk, Tim Langevin, Jerry Polson, Brent Polson and Jonathan Polson. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Billy's memory to the Kidney Foundation or the Winnipeg Humane Society. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
