DIANNA MAUDE SCOBLE After a six year battle with cancer, Dianna found peace. Dianna passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2005 at St. Boniface Hospital. She leaves to mourn her husband of 28 years Stan, sons Richard and Mathew, parents Helen and Bob Raymond, second parents Gil and Audrey Scoble, brothers George (Penny), Todd (Lisa), sister-in-law Judy Fabris (Doug) and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and Quigley. Dianna was born in Winnipeg and graduated from West Kildonan Collegiate. Her early working career was spent at Land Acquisition and she moved to Manitoba Health eventually becoming an instructor/auditor in SAP. She leaves behind many friends from work whom she greatly appreciated for their visits and kindness during this difficult time. Dianna was active in her church for many years, teaching Sunday school and Girl Guides in her youthful years and later singing in the choir. Her love of all music in general led to her becoming the choir director of the church, a position she found fulfillment in. Her great love was for the cottage at LacLu. She delighted in spending as much time as possible in the summer at the lake and eagerly pitched in on all construction projects. When a new cottage was built she painted the entire interior, sometimes before all the dry walling was complete. She looked forward to evening booze cruises and campfires on the back deck and later on to her quiet time with Quigley with his head on her lap for patting. Over the course of her illness Dianna was cared for by many wonderful professionals. All were great, but some special people made her suffering more tolerable, Dr. Nason of CancerCare, home care nurses Vanessa and Maryanne, and the staff of St. Boniface Palliative Care Unit. There were also the special friends who helped to give her as normal a life as possible with their visits, Kay Stuart (Tues.), Lucienne Stadnyk (Wed.), Diane Hallock who was always there when you needed her, and her most special friend, her father for always being there. A celebration of Dianna's life will be held at St. Martin-In-The-Field Anglican Church, 160 Smithfield on Monday, December 19 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made in Dianna's name to CancerCare Manitoba.
