Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJACK TAYLOR LLOYD 1919 - 2005 Jack Taylor Lloyd, of Calgary, passed away on Monday, December 12, 2005, at the age of 86 years. Born June 8, 1919, to Walter Lloyd and Opal Devereaux Lloyd in Vancouver, BC. Jack lost both parents at an early age, his father when he was five and his mother when he was a young teen living in Wilkie, SK. Jack joined the RCAF in 1942, enjoying a 24-year career in navigation and aerospace systems training. He was often known in the military as Happy Jack. Jack married his childhood Wilkie sweetheart, Reta Clements, after the war in 1948. They lived in many cities across Canada and in France; retiring first in Edmonton, then in Victoria and finally Calgary. Jack enjoyed his family and friends as well as community events and especially loved to travel with his family. Left to miss Jack but celebrate his wonderful life are his daughter Meryle and son-in-law Gord Lehn and their children, Jenny and Megan; his son Gordon and daughter-in-law Susan and their children, Katie and Amanda; as well as many relatives and friends across the country. His childhood sweetheart Reta predeceased him in 2001. Funeral services will be held at McInnis Holloway's Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.) on Sunday, December 18 at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Dr. Donald C. MacMahon, CD., Padre. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
