NICHOLAS DULEWICH January 12, 1933 - December 11, 2005 On Sunday, December 11, 2005, Nick passed away suddenly at the Lynn Lake Hospital. Nick will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by his wife of 47 years, Stella and his children, Debbie, Barb (Jim) Brewer, Cheryl (Pete), Audie (Sheila), Terry (Sharyn); nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother Bill; sisters, Zenia Bayoff and Mary Dewyn; also many nieces, nephews and cousins; his many special friends in Lynn Lake, Dauphin and across the country. Nick was predeceased by his father Joseph; his mother Agatha; his sister Anne and his brothers, Mike and Sylvester. Nick was born in Poland and moved to Canada with his family in 1938. His family established themselves in the Sifton area and later the Ashville area where Nick grew up on the family farm. He always enjoyed returning to the Dauphin area to visit with family and friends to reminisce about the place where he grew up. Nick left the family farm at age 17 to teach school for a couple of years and then took up his lifetime passion of carpentry and worked building grain elevators around the south then moved to Lynn Lake in 1956 where he worked for Sherritt Gordon Mines as a diamond driller, carpenter and foreman until retirement in 1987. In 1958 Nick married the love of his life Stella Kozy and they raised their family together in Lynn Lake. Nick was very community minded and served on the LGD of Lynn Lake Advisory Council, the Lynn Lake Hospital Board, The School Board, the Union and various other committees. Nick was a good neighbour to all. Nick was a master carpenter and after retirement kept busy with his trade working on all his families' houses. He always added his special touch and at the age of 65 built his son Audie, his dream home at the lake. Nick kept a beautiful home and yard which he enjoyed keeping very pristine. He enjoyed working in his yard, gardening, fishing and working with wood. Nick's greatest joy in life came from spending time with his family and friends and singing songs. The family wishes to extend special thanks to Mike and Shirley for being with Nick at his time of passing. We also wish to thank Dr. Mokate and the Lynn Lake Hospital staff.
