Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDONALD T. ISAAC My dear husband, our father and grandfather, Donald T. Isaac, was born to David and Elizabeth Toews Isaac on December 2, 1933 at Rosenort, MB. He peacefully departed this life on December 14, 2005 at his residence in Rosenort, reaching the age of 72 years. Feeling his lost condition, he repented and was baptized into the Church of God in Christ Mennonite on December 10, 1954 by Minister John Isaac. He embraced this faith until the end. He found his life's companion in me, Norma Miller, and we were united in marriage on June 6, 1958 by Minister John Isaac. The Lord granted us nearly 48 years of happiness together. Our union was blessed with 3 sons and 2 daughters. Most of his life was spent at Rosenort, where he was occupied with construction work and farming. His interest in farming continued in spite of his illness. He was a thoughtful and unselfish husband and father, spending many hours toiling for our well-being. Without complaint, he was ready and willing to give of his time and effort. His positive attitude and enthusiasm for life was evident to those whose lives he touched. His children and grandchildren were very dear to him, and we as a family have many happy memories of times spent together in work and in play. After his retirement, we took the opportunity to spend several years in voluntary service units. This experience enriched our lives with many new friends. He was diagnosed with cancer in March of 2004. He accepted this illness with grace and resignation. Although his wish was to remain here, he submitted his future into God's hands. He acknowledged his short-comings, and many times he called on God for mercy and forgiveness. We are sad and mourn, but rest in his personal testimony of peace and quietness in his heart. His last encouragements to Mom were: to remain faithful and that there will always be a way. Left to cherish fond memories are: his loving wife, Norma, Laurel and Gordon Goossen, Altona, MB; Kelly and Christa, Hythe, AB; Jeff and Michelle, Rosenort, MB; Sharron and Les Goossen, Aylesford, NS; Glenn and Laura, Morris, MB; 15 grandchildren; three brothers, Peter and Helen, McTavish, MB, Clifford and Roberta, Sinclair, MB, Clarence and Marge, Brandon, MB; six sisters, Helen Toews, Scio, Oregon, Lillian and Roy Bronson, Linden, AB, Ruth and Ed Boese, Edberg, AB, Margaret and George Toews, Hayden, Idaho, Mabel and Herb Esau, Atwater, California, Irene, Rosenort, MB. His parents and an infant brother preceded him in death. A special thank you to Dr. Chowdhury, Dr. Czaykowski, Dr. Smith, and all the nurses for the excellent care during his illness. Funeral services will be held at The Church of God in Christ Mennonite, Rosenort, MB on December 19, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. Viewing will be prior to the service.
