GORDON A. REID 1945 - 2005 It is with a great sense of loss that the Reid family - Jess, Steph, Gareth, Kim, Tyner, and Connor - announce the passing of their beloved husband, father, and papa. Gordon passed away in the company of his loving family, late on Thursday, December 15, while under the tender care of the doctors and nurses at Riverview Health Centre. The family thanks all the staff at the Health Sciences Centre for their care and support. Gordon was a beloved member of this city's Scottish community and a member of several choral groups which allowed him to share his musical talent with many people in this city and abroad. He will be remembered by many as the colourful and comedic MC at the Pavilion of Scotland for many years, and (if you believed him!) an accomplished fisherman! Gordon has left many friends and co-workers, whose lives he touched, a wee bit better for having known him. Here's tae us, wha's like us, Damn few, and they're a' deid. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 20 at 2:00 p.m. in Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. In place of flowers, please send donations to CancerCare Manitoba. THOMSON IN THE PARK Funeral Home and Cemetery 1291 McGillivray Blvd. - Ph: 925-1120 (Between Pembina Hwy. and Waverley St.)

I will remember Gord as a good buddy full of life and good times. Gord's ability to recall stories and phrases from the past always reinforced a friendship though distant in miles and time. Jess and Family, my sympathy to you all. - Posted by: Gord Gill (Friend) on: Dec 21, 2005

Jess my thoughts are with you. Warm hugs I can recall each time Gord was there To bring a little happiness into the air. How he was always so cheery Even when folks around him were weary. The small things he did just to make us all smile Even if he had to drive mile after mile. When not seeing him for many a day. Even then he always has something funny to say. Just any time you may have worn a frown, He could always turn it upside and around. Quick was his mind Gord IS one of a kind And I'm proud to say he’ll always be a friend of mine. - Posted by: Sandy Shaw (Family) on: Dec 21, 2005

To Jess and all the family. We were so shocked to learn of Gord's passing. We didn't see you often, but when we did meet it was always good to talk to you both. We didn't know of Gord's illness until only a very short time ago and didn't realize the seriousness. Take care of yourself, Jess, and our thoughts are with you and your family. - Posted by: Elizabeth & Jim Lawrie (Acquaintance) on: Dec 19, 2005

Gordon is a very special part of my life, his passing saddens me beyond words, but in my heart I will always remember a great person with a huge heart who was so instrumental in making my life in Canada so wonderful. As for his fishing prowess, I can vouch for that, no one mastered the fine art of messing about in boats as well as he did. God bless you Gordon and thanks for the priceless memories. - Posted by: Mel Eden (Family) on: Dec 18, 2005
