FRIEDA KATHERINE ELKE Peacefully on Thursday, December 15, 2005 at the Douglas Campbell Lodge, Frieda Katherina Elke of Portage la Prairie, formerly of Amaranth, MB., widow of the late William Elke passed away at the age of 92 years. Funeral service will be held in the chapel of the Omega Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 20 at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Ross Taylor officiating. Interment will take place at a later date at Amaranth Cemetery. Born on May 3, 1913 at Waldersee, where she grew up and received her education. Frieda married William Elke in 1931 at Christ Lutheran Church in Waldersee. They resided in the Falmouth area most of their married lives. Predeceased by her husband, William Elke in 1970; her mother and father, Katherine and William Rossnagel; one son, Donald and one daughter-in-law, Sandra. She leaves to mourn her passing her daughters, Ilene Phillips and Dorothy (Wayne) Dobbie; Her Daughter in law, June Elke; her sons, Ronald (Terry) and David plus thirteen grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren. Frieda was the last remaining member of the William Rossnagel family. Should friends so desire memorial donations may be made in Frieda's name to the Douglas Campbell Lodge Foundation.
