Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEILEEN ELIZABETH LIPSET (STILWELL) Eileen Lipsett died suddenly on December 16, 2005 at her home in Regina Beach, SK. Eileen was the fourth of five children born to Harvey and Margaret Stuart who had settled in North Regina, recent immigrants from Scotland. Born on January 6, 1926, Eileen would have celebrated her 80th birthday in a few weeks. Her children were planning a surprise party for her in Fargo, her second home. Eileen worked for the Saskatchewan Government and for the Federal Government in Winnipeg as a counsellor for the Department of Manpower and Immigration. She retired in 1976 to spend more time with her grandchildren. Eileen was an independent, bright and vibrant woman, blessed with grace and a limitless sense of humour. She loved bridge. She loved spending time with family and made frequent forays to Fargo where she cooked and fed six of her grandchildren with great joy. Indeed, she was to have arrived in Fargo on December 17, she was packing for her trip when she died. Eileen married George Stilwell in Regina on October 4, 1944. An extraordinary couple, they celebrated 34 years of marriage before George's death at 54 in 1978. She returned to Regina, from Winnipeg, in 1979. Eileen is survived by her three children and their families, Barry and Liliane Stilwell (Toronto), Lana Maloney (Winnipeg) and Janeen and Nathan Kobrinsky (Fargo); eight grandchildren, Deanna and David Young (Victoria), Danielle Stilwell and husband Chris Woodill (Toronto), Isaac, Hudi and Zach Kobrinsky (Fargo), Aryeh Kobrinsky (Montreal), Sarah Kobrinsky and husband August Kleinzahler (San Francisco) and Leah and Rob Morast (Sioux Falls). Eileen also leaves four great-grandchildren, Tristan and Jacob Young (Victoria) and Katherine and Geoffrey Stilwell (Toronto). Predeceased by her brother Alex and sisters, Margaret and Evelyn, Eileen is survived by her sister Ethel and husband Jim Stewart (Edmonton) and by her sister-in-law Fran Stuart (Regina) and many nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by many friends, some lifelong and some new at Regina Beach, in Winnipeg and in Fargo. There will be a memorial service on January 8, 2006 at Temple Beth El in Fargo.
