Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY NOZICK (nee LEVI) October 15, 1919 - December 18, 2005 Passed away peacefully December 18, 2005, at Lion's Manor. She was predeceased by her loving husband Roy Nozick; her parents John and Edith Levi; her sisters Clara Naftolin, Ethel Krasney; and her brother Sam Levi. She leaves to mourn her children Stanley (Sandra), David, Jo-Anne (Michael); her grandchildren Joel, Leanne (Steven), Jason (Nicole), Gregory, Daniel (Michelle) and Roy; and her great grandchildren Jackson and Avigail. Mary wed her high school sweetheart Roy and had a love affair with him all her life. She was a devoted and loving wife and a compassionate and caring mother who was extremely proud of her children and their accomplishments. Her family was most important to her. She was an excellent homemaker and, true to her orthodox upbringing, a gracious hostess who always welcomed guests into her home. Mary was an avid and talented bridge player and a founding member of St. John's Bridge Club. She was a long time member of Rosh Pina Synagogue. Mary cared about people from all walks of life and remembered her humble beginnings in North End Winnipeg. A resident of Lion's Manor, she was loved by staff. Special thanks to the 2nd Floor Staff of Lion's Manor Personal Care Unit who provided her, not only with exemplary care, but became her extended family. Many thanks to her personal companions Joanne and Jane. Funeral services will take place at Congregation Etz Chayim, 123 Matheson Ave., Tuesday, December 20, 2005, at 12:00 p.m. Shiva Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 58 Stanford Bay. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Foundation and Heart and Stroke Foundation may be made in Mary's memory.
