EDMOND J. JENSEN C.E.T., B. Ed., M. Ed. On December 18, 2005 Ed passed away in his 75th year. He was predeceased by his wife Mary Jean (1996); his brother Gerald (1997); his mother Rose (1977) and his father Sverre (1960). He is survived by his daughter Dawn (Grant) May and by his sister Sigrid. Ed was born on December 17, 1930 in Wynyard, SK and moved to Winnipeg with his family as an infant, subsequently moving to rural East Kildonan where he spent his childhood and adolescence. Ed attended St. Paul's High School, Red River Community College and the University of Manitoba. Except for a few years in Toronto, Ed lived in Winnipeg where he was employed in the Construction Engineering industry. Switching careers, he taught High School Drafting in the St. James-Assiniboia School Division for the last fourteen years of his working life. Ed loved life, revelled in taking nature treks in our Provincial Parks to enjoy the natural world and relished the adventures he found in world travel. Funeral service will be held on December 21, 10:00A.M., at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment of ashes at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Deer Lodge Centre Foundation, the Manitoba Historical Society or the Winnipeg Humane Society.
