JOSEPH KOVACS Peacefully on December 17, 2005, Joseph passed away at St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 78 years. He was predeceased by his wife Ivanka in 1995; and brothers, Gino and Steve. Joseph will be sadly missed by his daughter Irene; son Darren (Rhonda); brothers, Louis, Karl; sisters, Therese, Anna and Maria; other relatives and many friends. He emigrated from Hungary in the late 50s. He met and married Ivanka and settled in Winnipeg. He worked in the construction industry for companies such as Plibrico, Malcolm and Bird Construction Companies, retiring in 1988. Joseph enjoyed gardening and lawn work, visiting his friends and family get-togethers. The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at St. Boniface Hospital for all their kindness and care. Prayers will be said on Tuesday, December 20 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 21 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, 748 Keewatin St., with Rev. Fr. Wayne G. Morrissey as celebrant. Interment to follow in Brookside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joseph's memory to the Arthritis Society of Manitoba.
