JEAN BARNBY (nee PERCIVAL) It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Jean Barnby on December 19, 2005 at the Victoria General Hospital. Jean was predeceased by her parents, Lily and Joseph Percival as well as her brother George. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Stuart and sons, Paul (Sandra), Rick (Shirley) and Don (Valerie), grandchildren, Marcie Lynn, Mark, Jim, Mike, Beverly and Ella, nieces and nephews, Ron Percival, Gary Percival, Linda Thomason, Ken Strobl, James Strobl, Susan Margetts and David Strobl. Jean was a long time secondary school teacher in Timmins, ON. As a guidance counselor she was a positive influence on many young people's lives. A great lover of the outdoors, one of her favourite activities was cross-country skiing with Stuart. A woman of great faith, she was an active member of the Bible Fellowship Assembly, South Porcupine, Ontario. After moving to Winnipeg, she was a member of the Grant Memorial Baptist Church. A celebration of Jean's life will take place on Thursday, December 22 at 2:30 p.m. in Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. If friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to The Parkinson Society of Manitoba, 17 Donald St., suite 302, Winnipeg, MB R3C 1M4 or Saskatchewan Parkinson's Disease Foundation, Box 102, 103 Hospital Drive, Saskatoon, SK S7N 0W8.
