Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM GERHARDT STORSLEY June 15, 1915 - December 17, 2005 Surrounded by his loving wife and many of the family, Bill went home to be with his Lord and Saviour on Saturday, December 17, 2005, at Concordia Hospital. He is survived by his wife Emma of 64 years; his five children, Sandra Schroeder (Herb), Gary (Gloria), Garnet (Carleigh), Arlene Rattai (Gerald) and Joan MacKenzie (Jim); 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Bill is also survived by one brother Nelson; and four sisters, twin sister Arpa Redisky, Violet Leiman, Freida Krushel (Leonard) and Merle Herrald. He was predeceased by his parents, James and Adelaine Storsley (Wirch); sisters, Linda Obie, Anne Newman, Isabelle Anderson and Mildred Brady. To describe Bill in a word would be remarkable. Community accomplishments include: served on Milk Control Board; Brokenhead councillor 1945 to 1950; expanded hydro into rural Beausejour; initiated the establishment of the Beausejour Hospital, 1st chair 1950 and again 1972 during expansion and modernization; initiated the Beausejour Co-op Store and MB Breeder's Co-op. He was very current with new trends and developments and loved to travel. A celebration of Bill's life will be held on Friday, December 23 at 11:30 a.m. in the Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Ave. East, Beausejour with Pastor Vince Rattai (Bill's grandson) officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Ouens Cemetery. Friends may view at the chapel prior to the service. Grateful thanks are extended to all the staff and volunteers at Kildonan Personal Care Home and to Drs. Hamm and Thomas and nursing staff on 3 East at Concordia Hospital. In lieu of flowers donations can be designated towards establishing a memorial in Bill's memory supporting African Aids Orphan Children (Village of Hope, in care of Immanuel Pentecostal Church or Calvary Temple) or to Christ the King Apostolic Church, Box 13, Group 552, R.R. 5, Winnipeg, MB R3C 2Z2.
