GERTRUDE MABLE COSENS Peacefully on Monday, December 19, 2005, at Tudor House Personal Care Home Selkirk, Gertrude Cosens passed away. Gertrude was born at Gunton, on July 22, 1906, where she resided most of her life, except for a brief stay in Stonewall, Teulon and Petersfield. She was a long time member of St. Stephen's Anglican Church in Gunton and later St. Cyprians in Teulon. She was also a member of the Anglican Guild, WI and Red Cross. Mum loved to sew, knit, crochet and embroider. In her earlier years she decorated many wedding cakes. She was predeceased by her husband Bob Cosens, daughter Maymie Lesko, sons-in-law Nick Lesko and Courtney Hamaberg; her parents Alfred and Elizabeth Vidler; sisters Emily, Blanche, Annie, Melissa, Alice and Nellie; brothers Richard and Alfred. She is survived by her daughters Dorothy (Tom) Simpson and Eleanor Hamaberg, one sister Grace Good, countless grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers are her grandsons. Everyone attending may consider themselves honorary pallbearers. Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 23 at 11:00 a.m. in the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Teulon. Rev. G. Mawejje will officiate. Interment at Windsor Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hunter Memorial Hospital in Teulon, or Tudor House in Selkirk, MB. Mum is safely home MacKenzie Funeral Home Teulon in care of arrangements.
