Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFREDERICK EARL BRENTNALL It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Frederick Earl Brentnall on December 16, 2005. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter Joy Lynn (Wayne) Trenaman and their sons Trevor and Cory; son Leonard (Pattie) and their sons Cole and Craig; son Brent and his children Malcolm, Mercedes and Millicent; daughter Melissa; also his three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Joan (Roger) Mills. Fred was predeceased by his wife Doreen (nee Johnston); parents Frederick and Elizabeth; and his brother Leonard (Phyllis). Fred was born in Winnipeg on January 1, 1931, and was a longtime resident of Fort Garry. He retired from the C.P.R. in 1993 after 38 years of service. Throughout his life he enjoyed playing hockey on the C.P.R. team. In his later years, he was very proud to receive the oldest player award in tournaments. After his playing days were over he enjoyed traveling to hockey tournaments to watch his grandson play. He was well known to many people in the Fort Garry area and had many friends. A funeral service will take place on Friday, December 23 at 11:00 a.m. in Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. As Fred was a generous supporter of many charities, donations in lieu of flowers may be made in his memory to the charity of your choice.
