Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGEORGE REINHOLD REMUS George Remus of Vita, formerly of Piney, MB, passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 19, 2005, at the age of 87 at the Vita Hospital. He was born June 4, 1918, in Emerson, MB. On November 2, 1943, he married Helma Anderson and out of this union one daughter Beverly was born. George is survived by his daughter Beverly Sawka (Bill Olifirowich); grandson Perry (Susan) Sawka; and his precious great-grandchildren, Caitlin and Britney. He was predeceased by his wife Helma in 1989; and son-in-law Edward Sawka December 17, 1992. Cremation has already taken place. The memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 28 at 2:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB. If friends so desire donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation, 200 - 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. You were a young man at heart who loved to be with your grandson Perry and all your nieces and nephews, teaching us to drive cars and play with fire crackers. You enjoyed your apple pie and ice cream and your frequent trips to Roseau to Earl's drive in. There is much more to add but I could be here a long time. You are truly missed and always remembered.
