DR. DEREK JOHN WALLER May 18, 1924 - December 17, 2005 Peacefully on the morning of December 17, 2005, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, physician and friend passed away. His caring, compassion, understanding and love will never be forgotten, and his memory will live forever in those he touched. A private family service was his wish. Donations may be made in Derek's memory to the Victoria General Hospital Foundation. The family will acknowledge all donations.   • Wonderful man. Loved golf, lent his medical skills at outer race track in Gimli Motorsport Park. Always ready to chat and never in a rush to hear your ailments.   • Dr. Waller was my very first Doctor and I loved him very much. He came to see me in the hospital after I was born. He helped my mom, and no matter what was wrong with me, he knew just what to do. I was sorry when he retired, and I am very sorry to hear of his passing. He spoke so highly of his family , and was so proud of his grandchildren Peace be with him.   • Dr. Waller was my physician for over 26 years . I also considered him a friend. I was shocked to hear he passed away. So devoted was he to his profession, that his patients often seemed to come first. While you may have had to wait to see him, he gave you equal time, and never ever rushed you out. However his Family was his pride and joy, and he was so proud of the successes of his children and grandchildren. He will be truly missed - he knew just about everything!   • MY SYMPATHY TO THE FAMILY ON YOUR RECENT LOSS OF DR DEREK WALLER. DR WALLER WAS MY PHYSICIAN FOR MANY YEARS AND I WILL ALWAYS CHERISH THE TIMES WHEN HE WOULD TAKE THE TIME TO TALK ABOUT HIS GOLF AND FAMILY AND THE TRIPS HE TOOK.
