Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM J. A. CHRISTIE Peacefully at Deer Lodge Centre on December 20, 2005, William Joseph Anton Christie passed away. William (Bill) was born in Ochre River, MB, on July 21, 1921. He served his country proudly during the Second World War in the Royal Canadian Navy where he was assigned to mine sweeping operations. Bill was a long serving member of the Khartum Shriners, the Royal Canadian Legion, the Winnipeg Flying Club, and Ionic Lodge No. 25. During his working career, Bill was employed by Air Canada as an aircraft mechanic. A memorial service will be held at Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway, Winnipeg, on Wednesday, December 28 at 10:00 a.m. Interment service will follow the service Wednesday at the Killarney Cemetery, Killarney, MB, at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill's memory can be made to the Khartum Temple, 1155 Wilkes Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3P 1B9.
