CECILIA MARIE-ROSE RIVARD (nee CHAMPAGNE) 1918 - 2005 Peacefully with her family at her side, Cecilia passed away at Tache Centre, on December 25, 2005, at the age of 87. Born in St. Anne, MB on November 8, 1918 , the daughter of Ernestine (nee Tougas) and Charles-Auguste Champagne. She married Arthur Rivard on October 30, 1945 and moved to St. Boniface in 1963. She worked at the Tache Centre until her retirement in 1984. Cecilia loved to socialize, play cards and was always helping others. She was predeceased by her parents; sister Noella; brothers, Laurent, Jacques and Bernard; her loving husband Arthur; and sister-in-law Lucienne Champagne. Cecilia will be lovingly remembered by her children, Lucille (Claude), children, Robert (Lanell), Joanne (Patrick), Marc (Nancy); Jacques (Vicki), children, Shawn and Renee; Gilles (Patricia); Marie (Ernest), children, Richard (Vivian), Angele (Garry), Alain (Corie) and Andree (Robert); Faye; and the many other children she cared for. She will also be missed by her great-grandchildren, Cody, Megan, Brett, Jacob, Zackary, Lucas, Mireille, Mathieu and Sarah; stepmother Martha Champagne; brothers and sister, Louis (Rita), Sr. Georgine Champagne, Emile (Janette), Germain (Jeannine), Gilles (Mary); sister-in-law Freda; numerous relatives and friends. A memorial mass will be celebrated on Thursday, December 29, 1:00 p.m. at the Precious Blood Roman Catholic Church, 200 Kenny St. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Cecilia's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. A heartfelt thank you to our brother Gilles and his wife Patricia for being constant caregivers to our mom throughout her final years.
