JOHN SINCLAIR It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of John Sinclair on December 25, 2005 at the Grace Hospital with his family by his side. John was 83. John was predeceased by his parents, John and Mary Sinclair and eight brothers and sisters. He is survived by his loving wife Helen; two sons, Dennis (Chris) and Brian (Linda); four daughters, Ruth (Jean Mulaire), Laurie (Tony Thorwesten), Joyce (Gerald Thorvaldson) and Iris Melnyk. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and his sister Bertha Hanna and many nieces and nephews. John was born in Gladstone and raised in the Gladstone and Amaranth area. He served proudly in the Army in Canada and overseas in Italy, Holland and Belgium. He was a member of the Brooklands-Weston Legion for 50 years. John and Helen were married for 56 years and raised six children. John worked as a truck driver and then as a spot welder at Greensteel Industries. In his earlier years, he enjoyed hunting and fishing and was very adept at woodworking. He loved to dance and John's very friendly nature and sense of humour brought him many friends. John was very creative and used his creativity to design, make and donate various aids to help people with disabilities enjoy recreational activities. Following retirement, John and Helen enjoyed camping, travelling and summers at Brokenhead River Park. A memorial service will be held Friday, December 30 at 2:00 p.m. at Neil Bardal Funeral Chapel, 984 Portage Ave. at Aubrey Street. A private inurnment will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Thanks to the staff at Grace Hospital for all their care and support.
