ELSE KLASSEN (nee HAMM) Peacefully on Christmas Day, 2005, our mother and grandmother Else Klassen, passed away at the age of 87 years. Her memory will be cherished by her children Katie (Henry) Epp, Rita Klassen, Elsie (Erwin) Tessmann, George (Erika) Klassen and her grandchildren, Paul, Julia, Heidi, Monica, Daniel, Matthew, Lisa, and Laura. She was predeceased by her husband Jacob Klassen in 1992, and her parents and siblings. Else was born May 27, 1918 in Chortiza, Ukraine to Abram and Katharina (Thiessen) Hamm. She married in Germany in 1946 and immigrated to Winnipeg, Canada in 1949. We wish to thank the staff at Concordia Hospital for their loving care of our mother. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 30, at 10:30 a.m. at the Springfield Heights Mennonite Church, 570 Sharron Bay, Winnipeg with viewing prior to the service.
