PEDRO DE SOUSA After a brief illness, on December 26, 2005, at the Health Sciences Centre, Pedro De Sousa passed away at the age of 80 years. Left to cherish his loving memory are sons, Luis (Maria), Larry (Gabriela), Duarte (Fatima), Paul (Maria); grandchildren, Nelia (Nole), Jennifer, Denise, Amanda, Brian, Tanya, Rebecca; and great-grandson Bryce; sisters, Antoineta, Eduarda, Luiza, Otilia, Santo Cristo; and brother Luis; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Pedro was predeceased by his wife Maria Dos Anjos; his parents Joao Bernardo and Alexandrina De Jesus; and sister Maria Da Luz. Pedro was born on June 28, 1925, in Capelas, Sao Miguel, Acores, Portugal. He immigrated to Winnipeg in November 1966. We, the family would like to thank the staff of Unit GA4, Health Sciences Centre for all their care and support and we also express sincere thanks to all family and friends, who were there for us during this difficult time. Prayers will be said on Thursday, December 29 at 6:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 30 at 1:30 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin Street N., with Rev. Fr. Jose Eduardo Medeiros as celebrant. Entombment to follow at Queen of Heaven Mausoleum, Assumption Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Pedro's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 300 - 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
