Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY GAWRON Peacefully, on December 27, 2005, Mary passed away at Holy Family Nursing Home. Mary will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband Stefan; daughters Ursula, Helen (Henry); son John (Tina); grandsons Dominic, Anthony, Johnny; she also leaves two sisters Helen and Catherine; one brother Anthony in Poland; and one niece in Toronto. Mary was predeceased by four brothers in Poland and one niece in Canada. Mary was born November 17, 1920 in Kielce, Poland. During the war she was taken to Germany where she met her husband, Stefan and had a daughter Ursula. They came to Canada in 1950 and settled in Winnipeg, where her daughter, Helen and son, John were born. Mom travelled back to Poland five times to visit family and also the U.S. to visit friends. Mom's hobbies included gardening, sewing, knitting and crocheting and gave away many sweaters and afghans. Her biggest hobby was taking care of her family. The family would like to thank the entire staff at the St. Paul's Unit at the Holy Family, Nursing Home, Sisters and Pastoral Care. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 31 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Avenue with Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated at 10:30 a.m. with an Oblate Father as celebrant.
