Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • I just learned of Mae's death and want very much to express my sympathy to all of the family. I am an historian of Red Lake, Gold Pines, and Ear Falls, Ontario, where Ormond Butterill served as Hudson's Bay Company manager in the late 1920s and early 1930s. Through this connection, and searching for records of Ormond's life, I came to know about Mae. Her passing is certainly a great loss, and I am sorry for that. - Posted by: John Richthammer (Acquaintance) on: Jan 01, 2006

  • Auntie Mae, just heard of your death. We will miss visits at Stonewall. You were the best of teachers for all in your care. Ken remembers the years at 805 Broadway with you & Uncle Orm, his Mom & Dad (Deb & Gladys). Always so alert & interested in all we were doing, in the growth of our 3 sons, their children, events in the news; we looked forward to Christmas cards in your "perfect" penmanship. After a life of service to others, may you rest in peace in heaven. Thank you dear, good Auntie. Love Ken & Chris Butterill, Winnipeg - Posted by: Ken & Chris Butterill (Family) on: Dec 30, 2005
