EVELYN ELIZABETH MOLDOWAN It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister on Monday, December 26, 2005, at Rosewood Lodge in Stonewall at the age of 92. She is survived by daughter Linda Ronald; son Larry (Pat) Moldowan; grandchildren, Tammy (Gary) Tervoort, Roberta (Ken) Berg, Vaughn Moldowan, Ryan Ronald, Devon Moldowan, and Vhana Moldowan; and great-grandchildren Amanda and Michael Tervoort. She is also survived by brothers, Joe (Hazel) Hartman, Anton (Opal) Hartman; sisters, Mary (Ed) Iverson, Eva Dicks, Agnes Stefanson; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and her husband Otto in 1985. Also going before her were siblings John, Anna, Lena, and Jack, as well as brothers and sisters-in-law Ernie Dicks, Stefan Stefanson, Joyce Hartman, Kris Austford, and Ralph Sturtevant. Evelyn was born in Grayson, SK on November 9, 1913, the fourth child of George and Eva Hartman. She attended school at Grayson and later at Clarkleigh when the family moved there in 1925. On January 9, she married Otto Moldowan and they moved to Chatfield where they farmed until 1964. Their son Larry was born December 28, 1940 and their daughter Linda was born October 23, 1943. Life was hard but there were many good times with family, friends, and neighbours. They retired to Teulon in 1964 and when Dad wasn't working on his many projects, did a lot of travelling, went to many social events and spent much time with grandchildren. When Dad passed away, she moved to Stonewall and continued to enjoy life with all her family. Mom was an excellent cook and had many other interests including gardening, sewing, visiting, and travelling. The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at Rosewood Lodge for the excellent care she received over the last year and a half. Services will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church at Stonewall on Friday, December 30, commencing at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Windsor Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren. Mackenzie Funeral Home of Stonewall in charge of arrangements.
