JEAN MARIE MCGILL March 12, 1937 - December 28, 2005 Peacefully, with her husband by her side, Jean McGill passed away after a lengthy illness. Jean is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Clifford and by her daughter Gina (Aaron); sister Olga; brother Edward (Susan) and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, Lena and Thomas Kowalchuk and brother-in-law Matt. Jean was born and raised in Winnipeg and worked as a laboratory technician, for 28 years, at the Canadian Grain Commission. She had a great appreciation for art and music and a love for her family pets. Jean was very kind, compassionate and generous and will be truly missed. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Boniface Palliative Care Unit for all their care and compassion. Special thanks to Dr. Marilyn MacKay for her years of on-going support and care. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 31, at 11:30 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Interment to follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. A private family reception will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jean's memory to Manitoba Lung Association or a charity of your own choice. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
