PATRICIA FLOURENCE CARROLL (ZUBRACK)
Date of Passing: Dec 28, 2005
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPATRICIA FLOURENCE CARROLL (nee ZUBRACK) It is with great sorrow that her family announces the peaceful passing of our beloved wife, and mother on Wednesday, December 28, 2005 at the palliative care unit of St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 58. Pat will be greatly missed and remembered with love by her loving husband of 35 years, Arden; her daughters, Sandra, Susan and Lorisa; her mother Mildred; father-in-law J.D.; brothers, Bill and Michael and the rest of her many family and friends. Pat was predeceased by her father Frank, mother-in-law Clara and brother Myron. Pat was a woman who was passionate about life, and first and foremost her family. Her life was centred around the well-being of her husband and daughters. They were her greatest joys and her motivation for almost everything she did. Her happiest moments were the ones spent together with her family. Pat's special relationship and extraordinary love for her husband and best friend, Arden, was an inspiration to anyone who got to know her. From the first time they met until the moment Pat passed away they rarely left each other's side. Pat was not only passionate about her own children, but about children in general, which lead her to a career in child care. What made her special to the people she worked with and, above all, to the children she cared for, was the genuine love that she freely gave. She was the kind of person who had the energy and enthusiasm to accompany her children outside, at -20C, and lead them in making snow angels. Pat enjoyed a variety of activities during her lifetime. Among these were camping, fishing, cross-country skiing and working in her garden. One of her favourite vacation spots was camping with her family at the Whiteshell where she took pleasure in the beautiful nature, hiking, swimming and just sitting by the fire. Over the last summer she also enjoyed the luxury of her daughter's new cottage at Manitoba Narrows. Pat was also a role model and inspiration to many of the people whose lives she touched. She will be remembered as a well-spoken, feisty, kind and giving woman. The family would very much like to thank the doctors, nurses and other caregivers at the St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care Unit for making Pat's last days as comfortable as possible. The memorial service will be held on Monday, January 2, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Westwood Community Church, 401 Westwood Dr. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Pat's memory to the St. Boniface Hospital Research Foundation, Palliative Care Fund, 409 Tache, Winnipeg, MB R2H 2A6.

Arden and family, Patti, (as she was known at daycare), was a wonderful influence in Hannah's life. I noticed for quite a while that Hannah would make funny faces quite often, being quite the joker, Patti mentioned to me once that she showed Hannah this in an effort to help Hannah express herself. Our daughter was so blessed to have had Patti as a teacher/caregiver at Horizon's. The service was a beautiful reflection of her life. She will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Craig, Carmela and Hannah Pucely. - Posted by: Carmela Pucely (Acquaintance) on: Jan 03, 2006
