MARION JOAN MAIR (nee ELGAR) August 3, 1918 - December 26, 2005 With sadness we announce the passing of Marion on the evening of December 26, 2005 at the Health Sciences Centre. Marion was predeceased by her parents, John and Alice; her husband Tom (1993) and her brother John (1998). She is survived by her sister-in-law Lorna and nephews, Robert (her godson) and Richard. A longtime resident of River Heights, Marion took up residence at Lions Place in November of 2001, where she met up with many old friends, and made many new ones. She very much enjoyed the entertainment programs. There was never a dull moment. Her favourite passion was bridge. She also enjoyed golf, curling and lawn bowling. Marion was blessed with an attractive personality and she will be sadly missed by so many. Our heartfelt thanks go to the staff at H.S.C. They were most helpful and understanding. Should friends so desire, a memorial donation may be made to Lions Place, 610 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3C 0G5. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at Lions Place at a later date.
