She was predeceased by her son Ian and sister Olive. Win spent her early years in Pointe du Bois where she met Ted. They were married in 1939 and lived there until moving to Winnipeg. She started her working career in 1958 at the Winnipeg School Division offices. This job sparked her interest in teaching and lead to obtaining her teaching certificate followed by her Masters in Education. She taught at several schools in the Winnipeg area (Charleswood High, Glenlawn and Stonewall). After retiring, she decided that she still needed challenges and subsequently taught in Bakers Lake, Nunavut and Gillam, MB. After retiring a second time, Win loved to read and work on puzzles. She developed a passion for Bridge and enjoyed the games and fellowship of bridge enthusiasts. She loved her family and spent many hours attending events and activities of her grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff at 3 South Deer Lodge Centre for the care and compassion they showed Win. A family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Win's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Manitoba, 10 - 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3R 4G2 or the charity of your choice.
