HAZEL MERLE GEMMILL (HEWITT) April 14, 1917 - December 21, 2005 Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, our mother, grandmother, great-grandma and great-great-grandma passed away December 21, 2005 at Lorne Memorial Hospital in Swan Lake. Left to cherish her memory are her four D's , Darlene (Maurice) Gallant, David (Sandra) Gemmill, Dianne Tannahill, Dulcie (Peter) Perch. She will be greatly missed by her 13 grandchildren and spouses, 23 great-grandchildren and spouses and two very special great-great-grandchildren, three special sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews. Mom was predeceased by her beloved husband Walter (1998), infant son Robert (1939), sons-in-law, Bryce (1996), Robert (2001), grandson-in-law Steve (2000) and infant great-grandson Jonathon (1998) as well as her five brothers and four sisters. After Dad's passing Mom enjoyed a quiet life of travel, theatre and enjoying her family and friends. She was a devoted Mom, she had a magnetism that drew family, friends and especially her grandchildren close. God made a wonderful mother, a mother who never grew old. He made her smile of sunshine, and moulded her heart of pure gold. In her eyes he placed bright shining stars, in her cheeks fair roses you see. God made a wonderful mother and he gave that dear mother to us. Our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Desmond and the wonderful staff at Swan Lake Hospital. Our thanks as a family to Fred Graham and staff and Rev. Irene Onuch for the love and compassion shown to us at this time. Funeral Services were held in Pilot Mound United Church Tuesday, December 27, 2005. Good-bye Mom, in our hearts your memory we will keep, to love, to cherish, to never forget. We love you. Your four D's and families. Graham's Funeral Service of Pilot Mound in care of arrangements.
