JOHN DOUGLAS HALLICK On Thursday, December 29, 2005 at the Carman Memorial Hospital in Carman, MB, John Douglas Hallick, aged 41 years of Starbuck, MB, passed away peacefully with his family at his side. John leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Rachel; two daughters, Sydney and Taylor; his father Doug Hallick; and three brothers, Brent (Shelley) Hallick and their children, Dylan and Justine; Dwight Hallick and Tom Hallick all of Starbuck, MB. Also surviving are his father-in-law Arnold Kliewer Sr. and his brother in-law Arnie (Kelly) Kliewer and their children, Sean and Kevin all of Brunkild, MB. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. John was predeceased by his mother Beth Hallick and his mother-in-law Rose Kliewer. John was born in Winnipeg, MB on June 25, 1964. He received his education in Starbuck and Sanford, graduating from Sanford Collegiate. He grain and cattle farmed in the Starbuck area all his life. He played hockey for the Black Sheep and Old Timers, and played baseball with the Starbuck Screamers, enjoying many road trips. John had a strong love for his family which was very important to him. Funeral service will be held from the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Brunkild on Monday, January 2, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Leslie Poulin officiating. Memorial donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. Rachel and family would like to thank everyone for their overwhelming support. A special thank you to Dr. Kerr, Dr. Southerland and Janine Ennis of CancerCare Manitoba, as well as the wonderful staff at the Carman Memorial Hospital.
