RONALD FRANK NIKODEM 1937 - 2005 A Golden Heart Stopped Beating Hard Working Hands At Rest On December 30, 2005 in the presence of his family Ron passed onto eternal rest after a lengthy battle with mesothelioma. He is survived by his loving wife Barbara, daughter Leanne, son in law Jos and granddaughter Madeline Vervaet as well as numerous relatives and friends. Ron was predeceased by his parents Frank and Lena Nikodem and by brother Ernest and sister Joanne. Ron was first and foremost a loving husband, father and grandfather. Family was of utmost importance in his life. Ron's life skills were many ranging from the electrical, firefighting Beausejour Town Councillor and many varied home improvement challenges. His volunteerism in the community varied over the years and were plentiful. He loved camping, traveling and recently babysitting were the things that brought great joy to him. The family wish to thank Dr. Andrew Maksymiuk and Staff, Dr. Darrin Dueck and Staff as well as all the Angels in the Beausejour Hospital whose support and tender loving care for Ron and family is appreciated. Also a special thank you to everyone who visited Ron in the hospital and at home, you brought happiness. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Beausejour, MB with Fr. David Brabant presiding. A private interment will follow on Thursday in the Assumption Cemetery.
