WILLIAM HAROLD BROGDEN Peacefully on December 31, 2005, Bill Brogden passed away at Davidson Memorial Health Centre in Cartwright, MB, in his 90th year. He was predeceased by his mother Elizabeth, father George, stepmother Florence, 2 brothers, 3 sisters, 3 brother-in-laws, 1 sister-in-law, 1 niece, 1 great niece and 2 great-nephews. Left to cherish his memory are sisters, Jessie Richards of Rivers, MB, and Kathleen Bourns of Cartwright; brothers, Dennis Brogden of Cartwright and Geoff Brogden of Consecon, ON; and many nieces and nephews. Bill was born on a farm south of Cartwright on July 11, 1916. He attended school at Rock Lake and Chesterville. He began farming at an early age and his love of farming continued into his late 70s. His family was very important to him and he was always ready and willing to lend a helping hand whenever needed. He sang in the Cartwright United Church Choir for many years and served on Church committees as well. Funeral service will be held from Cartwright United Church in Cartwright on Wednesday, January 4, 2006, at 2:00 p.m., Beth Clark officiating. In lieu of flowers friends if they desire may donate in his memory to Cartwright United Church in Cartwright. Graham's Funeral Service of Pilot Mound in care of arrangements.
