STANFORD HOUSTON November 17, 1931 - December 31, 2005 It is with great sadness that we the family announce the death of Stanford Houston on December 31, 2005. Stanford was born in Pine Falls, MB on November 17, 1931. Stan was raised in the Pine Falls area and served in the army for a few years. When he returned from the army he worked in Winnipeg at Central Grain for a number of years. Recently Stan was a patient at the Selkirk Mental Health Center. Stan will be missed by his son Patrick and grandchildren Jennifer, Brandon and Robert; brothers Clifford (Claudette) of Pine Falls, Ken (Martha), Dennis (Marie) and Roland (Poncho) of Winnipeg; sisters Rose (Fred) La Pointe of Stoney Creek, ON, Myrtle McCutcheon, Sadie (Leon) Dube, Joyce and sister-in-law Cecile Houston of Winnipeg as well as many nieces, nephews, friends, and estranged wife Florence Houston. Stan was predeceased by his parents Joe (1953) and Agnes (1975), daughter Audrey (1969), son Reynolds (1979) and brother Doug (2005). A Funeral Service will be held in the Notre Dame du Laus Roman Catholic Church, Powerview on Thursday, January 5 at 2:00 p.m. with viewing one hour prior to. Fr. James Gray will be officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers will be Alan, Edgar, Cory, Clifford, Jason and Raymond Houston, Greg and Trevor Dube. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
