CAROL LYNN EVANS Peacefully on Monday, January 2, 2006 at the Health Sciences Centre, Carol Lynn Evans (nee Paupanekis) went home to be with the Lord. She was born in Norway House, MB on February 20, 1941. She was predeceased by her parents Cooper and Maria Paupanekis. She leaves to mourn her beloved family, husband Andrew and children: Hubert, Bryden, Olga (William) Muswagon, Olive (Ivas) Saunders, Ila (Tony) Collier, Rosemary and Winston; grandchildren, Glenda, Germaine, Christiane, Cherilynn, Greg, Murdoch, Robin, Anthony, Mitchell, Marshall, Shephard and Brooke; great-grandchildren, Shaquille, Logan and Krillin. Also left to mourn her passing, her aunt Nancy Mowatt and siblings: Howard (Adele) Paupanekis, Sarah (Clarence) Thordarson, Flora (Bob) Turner, Albert (Irma) Paupanekis, Betsy (Ron) Evans, Frances (Alvin) Ferland, Jimmy (Monica) Paupanekis, Alice (Terrance) Sinclair and many nieces, nephews, her in-laws, family and friends. Mom was a humble, loving, generous and devoted person always thinking of others before herself and willing to lend a helping hand, even to strangers. Mom's faith never faltered even right to the end knowing that Jesus would soon be coming to take her home. Her greatest desire was that everyone come to know the Lord and that we would all meet again in heaven. Her favourite expression was It's about time . She always encouraged us with the scripture and fully believed in it. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Mom worked hard to witness to others and did not quit until her task was complete. Her final words were I am finished . Wake will be held in Norway House, MB with funeral on Thursday, January 5. The family wishes to thank the staff of Health Sciences Centre, Thompson General Hospital and Norway House Hospital for their care and support. Special thanks to the Norway House Cree Nation.
