MARY ALICE DEVOS November 26, 1923 - January 1, 2006 Mary passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness at the Fort Garry Care Center at the age of 82. She was predeceased by her parents Victor and Irma DeVos, sister-in-law Agnes DeVos, brother-in-law Joseph Sternastek, and nephew Randall DeVos. She leaves to mourn her brothers George, Joseph, and Robert (Madeline) DeVos, her sister Irene Sternastek, her many nieces, nephews, cousins, her Aunt Madeline Dusessoy and her close friend Lucie Trottier. Mary was very devoted to the St. Vital Roman Catholic Church. She offered much of her time both at the church and visiting the homes of parishioners. Mary loved to travel. She and Lucie had travelled all over the world together. She loved to curl and golf. She also enjoyed spending evenings playing cards with all her friends. Our family would like to extend our most gracious thank you to the staff at the Fort Garry Care Center for their kindness and loving care towards Mary. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 5 at 10:00 a.m. in the St. Vital Roman Catholic Church, 1629 Pembina Highway with Rev. Fr. Dr. Patrick Morand presiding. Interment will take place at the St. Norbert Parish cemetery following the service. Pall bearers will be David, Ronald, Rodney DeVos, Richard, Mark Sternastek and Andy Allard. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10-120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 4G2. THOMSON FUNERAL HOME 783-7211
