PATRICIA JOANN WESTMACOTT With a heavy heart and deepest sorrow the family announces the passing of our beloved Patricia Joann Westmacott, aged 52, on January 1, 2006, at the Grace Hospital in Winnipeg. Patricia was predeceased by her loving father Monty and both maternal and paternal grandparents. Left to share many beautiful memories are her devoted mother Alda; sister Betty Anne (Phil) Miller; niece and nephews, Jennifer, Darren and Jordan; and her uncle, aunts and many cousins. Patricia was employed by Great West Life for over 30 years and valued the friendship of her colleagues there. Some of her greatest joys were her summers at the cottage in Gimli, especially watching the sun rise over the lake, and time spent with her loving relatives and friends. Patricia enjoyed keeping track of the events and changes in the lives of her many cousins and their families, and could always be counted on to remember their special occasions. All who loved Patricia knew that her loyalty to family and friends never wavered. The dignity, courage and determination with which she overcame the many obstacles of rheumatoid arthritis were a daily inspiration to all who knew her. A memorial service was held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 6 at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Ave., Aubrey Street entrance. Many thanks are extended to the relatives and friends who provided special support and companionship for Patricia and her family during her time in hospital. Special thanks to all the medical and support staff of 4 south at the Grace Hospital who showed such incredible compassion and support to Patricia and her family.
