MARIE SCOWBY (nee WORSTER) May 13, 1923 - December 26, 2005 Marie, of Maple Ridge, BC, passed away suddenly but peacefully a day after spending a wonderful Christmas with all of her family. Predeceased by her husband Vern and sister Eleanor Marks (Lorne-deceased); she leaves to mourn her children Bryan (Lorraine), Linda (Bob) and Glen (Gail). She was a loving Grandma to Christa, David (Courtney), Glen, Heather, Jill, Ian, Billy and Pamela. She will be greatly missed by her sisters, Eva Mosley (Edward), Margaret Russell (James), Helen Popp (Russell-deceased) of Winnipeg, MB, and Marlene Shand (Thomas) of Lac du Bonnet, MB, and many other friends and relatives. Marie was born in Winnipeg and began her family life in Vancouver in 1947. Her astonishing memory, passion of knowledge, comprehensive story telling, wonderful home cooking and her love of family will be greatly missed by all. Marie was a remarkable lady. A Memorial Service was held in Maple Ridge, BC on Monday, January 2, 2006. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the BC Lung Association, P.O. Box 34009, Station D, Vancouver, BC V6J 9Z9.
