Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMERCEDES ORTEGA (nee GOMEZ) On the evening of December 16, 2005, Mercedes Ortega of Spain left this world to be with her Lord, Our Saviour. Mercedes was born October 26, 1929, in Barcelona, Spain. In 1964 she immigrated to Winnipeg with her eldest son to join her husband. After residing in Winnipeg for 22 years she returned with her husband and youngest son to her home country of Spain. Mercedes was predeceased by her loving husband George in 1993. She leaves in passing to remember her: sons George (Brenda) of Winnipeg and Luis of Spain; as well as relatives and friends. Mass and interment were held Sunday, December 18, 2005, in the village of Perafort near Tarragona, Spain. GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN
