EDWINA (WEEN) KUBISHYN Peacefully on January 3, 2006 at the Convalescent Home of Winnipeg, Edwina went to be with her Lord. Ween was born on April 26, 1910 in Russia and came to Canada with her parents, Jacob and Hilda Zepick in 1912, residing in Morris, MB and later in Winnipeg. Mom is predeceased by her loving husband Walter and son Lorne, three brothers, one sister and a nephew. Our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister will be sadly missed by her two daughters, Karen (Hank) Krysanski, Shirley Vandenberg; daughter-in-law Joyce Kubishyn; four grandchildren, Lori (Les) Honke, Cindy (Ken) Franklin, Jim (Kim) Krysanski and Valerie Krysanski; four great-grandchildren, Kyle, Michael, Justin and Sara; sister Elsie Loewen; several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law Jean Mactier (Kelly); four great-nieces. In her 50s, Mom began 21 years of devoted employment for home care, enjoying her special friendships. She had many years of worship with the Albright Memorial Evangelical United Brethren Church, being a chartered member. Her unlimited energy, unconditional love for her family and unwavering faith will be forever cherished. Her handiwork, baking, cooking and gardening skills were the rewards of her family. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith II Timothy 4:7 Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 7 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Pallbearers will be Jim Krysanski, Les Honke, Ken Franklin, Don Collins and Lyle Cairns. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the Union Gospel Mission, P.O. Box 1073, STN Main, Winnipeg, MB R3C 2X4. In Mom's years at the home she always had a smile for us and was very appreciative of the care and kindness shown to her by all the staff. We give a heartfelt thanks to you all.
