CHRISTINE (JUSTINA) SAWATSKY FRIESEN It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Christine (Justina) Sawatsky Friesen on January 2, 2006. Christine was born in Brown, MB on January 31, 1916. In 1944 Christine and her husband Isbrand (Jack) Friesen moved to Transcona to raise a family. She was predeceased by her husband Isbrand Friesen; sons, Jackie and Barry Friesen; parents, Peter and Justine Sawatsky; and brothers, Jacob Sawatsky (infant), Peter Sawatsky and Jacob (Jack) Sawatsky; and sons-in-law, Denis Delorme and Marion Burak. She is mourned by her children, Jean (Denis) Delorme, Diane Burak (Stan Zalondek), Robert (Irene) Friesen, Jack Friesen, Joyce (Gerald McKay) Friesen; grandchildren, Kimberly and Dean Delorme, Tracy, Brenda and Kevin Burak, Maureen and Guy Friesen, Danielle Friesen, Nathan Walker, Devon Friesen, Shawn Weppler; great-grandchildren, Ashley Delorme, Darian, Tyrah and Rheannan Burak, Brandon, Jaylene and Cayden St. Laurent; sisters, Katherina (Herman) Johnson, Anne Timmerman, Nettie (Pat) Bruce; brothers, Benny (Elaine) Sawatsky, Dick Sawatsky, Abe (Leona) Sawatsky, David Sawatsky; and many nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by her great friend Liz Toews. Funeral service will be held January 6 at 11:00 a.m. in Wheeler Funeral Chapel, 701 Regent Ave. West. Pallbearers Dean Delorme, Kevin Burak, Devon Friesen, Nathan Walker, Robert Sawatsky and Richard Finnie. The family would like to thank the St. Boniface Hospital for everything they did for Christine. We would also like to thank Minister Rejeanne Axent who spent Christine's final moments with her, Chaplain Mark Scott who will be performing the ceremony and Wheeler Funeral Chapel.
