DORIS BROMILOW (nee JOHNSTON) 1916 - 2006 Doris was born November 9, 1916 in Winnipeg, MB, and passed away peacefully at the Charleswood Care Centre on Tuesday, January 3, 2006 at the age of 89 years, after several years of struggle with an ever-increasing dementia. She will be remembered with love by her son Don; daughter Susan Roller; daughter-in-law Joanne; son-in-law Gary White; grandchildren, Jim Bromilow, Ellen (Adam) Thompson and Diana (Craig) Lawlor; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Mulvey, Fran Campbell and Mil (Red) Lavergne. Doris was predeceased by her husband Wilfred; and her sisters, Muriel Bowles and Mildred Wright. Doris spent many happy years volunteering with the Canadian Red Cross and in the Misericordia Hospital gift shop. Our grateful thanks to the staff of Charleswood Care Centre for their many years of loving and gentle care. A service to commemorate Doris' life will be held on Friday, January 6 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers if friends so desire, donations may be made in Doris' memory to a charity of one's choice.
