Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMICHAEL ANTHONY GLENNON With deep sadness we announce the passing of Michael Glennon on Monday, January 2, 2006, after a brief but brave battle with cancer in Fredricksburg, Virginia. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law John and Lucy and grandchildren Connor and Liam all of Vernon, BC; son Colin of Vancouver, BC; sister Mary Petroutsa; his sister and her husband Peggy and Bill Jernigan all of Fredricksburg, VA; and many nieces and nephews in Virginia; his sister Claire and many nieces and nephews in Ireland; his sister-in-law Mary Glennon and many nieces and nephews in Long Island, NY. He was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Margaret; and his brother Thomas. Michael was born in Dublin, Ireland in 1938, and emmigrated to Canada in 1966 settling in Winnipeg, MB. He worked for many years as a sales consultant in the moving industry with companies such as Atlas Van Lines and North American Van Lines. His career took him from Winnipeg to Calgary and Edmonton, AB before his retirement. He was a man full of life, great sense of humour and blessed with the ability to put a smile on anyone's face. He truly lived life to be enjoyed and will be missed but always remembered. The funeral service celebrating Michael's life will be held for all of his friends and relatives at St.Mary's Catholic Church in Fredricksburg, on Saturday, January 7 at 12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mary Washington Hospice, 2300 Fall Hill Avenue, Suite 210 Fredricksburg, VA 22401, U.S.A.
