HELEN (UNRAU) LEPINE (nee MARTEL) November 1937 - December 2005 Quietly at home, on December 30, 2005, after a short illness, Helen Lepine passed away. Helen was predeceased by her husband Irwin Unrau and by her father Evangelist Martel. She will be lovingly remembered by her five children, Erle (Melani), Eileen, Tom (Michelle), Tim, and Tammy (Emile); twelve grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her mother Olive Martel; and her brother Donald Martel. For many years Helen received tremendous enjoyment as well as companionship hosting a large number of international students while they attended school in Winnipeg. Cremation has taken place. Memorial funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 9, at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East at Navin Rd. Interment of cremated remains will follow at Green Acres Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Helen's memory may be made to Canadian Diabetes Association - Manitoba Division, 102-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3G 1S6.
