LAPOINTE July 8, 1949 - January 3, 2006 We are sad to announce the sudden passing of Edouard at the Victoria General Hospital after a brief struggle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Dorothy (nee Klyne); his two children, Donald (Monique) and Chantelle (Nicholas); and his two grandchildren, Alexandar and Taylor. He also leaves behind, his mother Hermance; his brother and sisters, Louise (Doug), Paul (Linda), Joanne (Wayne), Annette (John) and Gisele (Charlie); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Edouard was predeceased by his father Hyacinthe Lapointe in 2002. Ed was employed with Supercrete for 12 years, with Safeway for 14 years as a Class 1 driver until 1998, and then worked at a variety of driving jobs until he became employed with John Kehler Trucking until his retirement in 2005. Funeral services will be held at the La Salle Roman Catholic Church in La Salle, MB on Friday, January 6 at 1:00 p.m. Interment of Ed's cremated remains will take place at a later date. The family would like to thank the staff at the Victoria General Hospital, especially the Observation staff. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ed's memory to the Manitoba Lung Association, 2nd floor, 629 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3A 1P6. LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements. 775-2220.
