EINAR BRYGMAN Peacefully on Wednesday, January 4, 2006, Einar passed to eternal rest at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Gimli at age 98. He was resident at Betel Home in Gimli and formerly of Lions Place, Portage Ave., and Edgewood St., Norwood. Einar was predeceased by his wife Gyda in 1976; son-in-law Frank Siba in 2002; and all his siblings in Norway. He is survived by his daughters, Evelyn Strachan (Gil) of Gimli, Myrna Siba of Ottawa, and Shirley Brygman-Jones (Bob) of Winnipeg; grandson Paul Strachan (Marzia); and great-grandchildren, Matthew and Meghan, all of Winnipeg; granddaughters, Jennifer Siba, Tracy Siba (Michel Maheu), grandsons, Randy Siba (Mary Ellen), Ryan Siba, great-grandchildren Jayden Siba and Calvin Maheu all of Ottawa; grandsons, David Strachan and Corey Strachan of Gimli. There are numerous nieces and nephews and their families in Norway. Einar was born in Norway in 1907, came to Canada in 1928, and was employed most of his working years at Canada Packers in St. Boniface. He was a long-serving member of Bethel Baptist Church, St. James. The family extends our thanks and sincere appreciation to the nursing and medical staff at Johnson Memorial Hospital and to the staff at Betel Home for the extra-ordinary care provided to Einar. You all made his last days as peaceful and comfortable as possible. Funeral service will be held at Thomson Funeral Chapel, 669 Broadway on Tuesday, January 10 at 1:00 p.m., Pastor Arden Boville officiating. Private interment to follow. Flowers respectfully declined.
