PANSY ANNE (MCINNIS) BALL It is with great sadness that we announce the death on January 2, 2006, of Anne Ball, at the age of 92. Born March 23, 1913, she was the third child and first daughter of William and Deesa McInnis of Cutknife, SK. With her five brothers and three sisters, she grew up on the family farm. Following her marriage to Aubrey Ball, she lived in Battleford, SK, where her children Glenn and Beverly were born. Following a brief stay in Saskatoon, while Aubrey took his army training, the family moved to Prince Albert, SK, where her children were raised. During the war years, Anne proved her business ability as owner and operator of the Madison Beauty Parlour. Always a loving mother, she later took great joy and pride in grandchildren, Kelly (Joyce), Lori and Shawn Ball (Joanne Kwok) of Prince Albert and Andrea (Murray Moman) and David James (Karen Lagimodiere) of Winnipeg. Her life was further enriched by great-grandchildren, Craig and Laren Ball, Deryk Ball, Jada and Keegan Kwok and Zoe and Maya James; and great-great-grandchildren, Thomas Ball and Zaynah Fiddler, who all survive her. The friends of her children and grandchildren were always welcomed into the family circle and Anne was widely and lovingly known as Mamma Ball to one generation, and Gramma Ball to the next. She was recognized by all as having an accepting, understanding and generous nature. The McInnis family remained a close and loving unit over the years, taking care, whatever the distance involved, to stay in touch and to see one another as often as possible. As a result, she will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews across Canada. In her later years, following Aubrey's death in 1985, Anne moved to Winnipeg to be near her daughter Bev. Sadly, Anne was predeceased by her beloved husband Aubrey; her loving son Glenn; brothers, Raymond, Bob, Clarence, Marino and Fred McInnis; and sisters, Grace Hanson and Alice Richards and; just last fall, her devoted and caring daughter Bev. Anne is survived by her sister Margaret Head of Saanichton, BC; her son-in-law John James of Winnipeg; her daughters-in-law, Audrey Jones of Prince Albert and Eleanor Ball of Edmonton; and her grandchildren and their families. In accordance with Anne's wishes, cremation has taken place and she will be interred next to Aubrey and Glenn in Prince Albert at a later date. A great many thanks go to the staff at Golden Links Lodge, who cared for Anne so lovingly over the past few years. We are all in your debt. In lieu of flowers, friends may choose to make a donation in her memory to Golden Links Lodge, Box 248, 2280 St. Mary's Rd., Winnipeg, MB R2M 4A5, (204) 257-9947. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE 885-9715 Family and friends are invited to sign the Book of Condolence at www.chapellawn.mb.ca
