OLGA EVELYN KOLANSKY (nee LUCAS) We regret to announce the passing of Evelyn Kolansky on Wednesday, January 4, 2006, at the Portage District General Hospital at the age of 76 years. She was predeceased by her parents Rose and George Lucas; and her brother Willie Lucas. Left to cherish her memory are her husband Nick Kolansky of Portage la Prairie; daughter Valerie Valade; sons, Dennis and Alan Heinrich with four grandchildren, Chris Valade, Anthony Valade, Mikala Heinrich and Sami Shukier, all of Winnipeg; and two brothers, Johnny (Pauline) Lucas of Chilliwack, BC, and Norman (Mary) Lucas of Vankleek Hill, ON; along with nieces and nephews. A mother's spirit and love are tried, tested and true to survive which shan't be silenced. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no formal funeral service. As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Evelyn's memory to a charity of your choice.
