JOHN SLYKER 1944 - 2006 John Slyker, beloved husband of Hope Slyker of Calgary, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, January 4, 2006, at the age of 61 years. Besides his loving wife Hope, John is survived by his brothers, Dick (Diny) and Ed (Lynn); and his sister Jane (Les); and extended family. He was predeceased by his parents, Jake and Geer Slyker. John enjoyed spending time at the cabin in Hidden Valley. He was an avid golfer, as well as a Calgary Flames fan, curler and former member of the Active 20-30 Club. He joined the ECL Group of Companies in 1982. A gathering will be held at McInnis Holloway's Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E., Calgary, AB) on Monday, January 9 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
